Talking from his Los Angeles home on a sunny October afternoon, Lee Arenberg does not come across as dwarf material. Effusive, optimistic, and a self-described “karmic kind of person,” he hardly fits with the notion of a taciturn and battle-hardened mythical race. “My theory on why the movie is going to be good?” Arenberg offers, “It’s a kick-ass movie!”

Well, maybe there’s a bit of dwarven no-nonsense in him after all.

That’s a good thing, because Lee Arenberg portrays Elwood, a down-on-his-luck dwarf, in the December release of the long-planned Dungeons & Dragons: The Movie, directed by Courtney Solomon. As an actor, Arenberg has an impressive stat sheet. He’s done parts in such fan-fodder TV as a Ferengi on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He’s taken a turn with monster-of-the-week fantasy in Tales from the Crypt and appeared on the big screen in future flicks Robocop 3 and the much-maligned Waterworld. His most recognized role to date, however, was as the well-endowed studio head, Bobby G., in the short-lived series Action!   Next Page »
